Sometimes I Really Love Hollywood

This Saturday started at an LA Kings game.
After that we went to a 50th birthday party of a gay friend in the hollywood hills.
Gay friend is currently housing a young vulnerable straight male chef/artist.
A classic Hollywood house boy situation that demands watching.
Friends of gay man bought him a Keith Haring from Martin Lawrence Gallery.
Martin Lawrence Gallery sent a representative and a couple alleged masterpieces.
We were all summoned for a "presentation" before the unveiling of the Haring.
The representative commenced giving an art history lesson. An infomercial that went on and on and on.
I said, "Jesus. I was a terrible student - that's why I'm an artist!" Really. I was snorting. I hate commercials in any form. Nothing deterred the ML guy. Not even the people leaving two by two to head for the bar. In fact the birthday boy got up twice and at one point yelled, "I have ADD! Just so you know!"

The next day I went to CBS-Radford Studios for a warehouse sale for everything "Passions".
For $13.50 I stumbled away with a patio umbrella, a pair of shoes, a red steel basketball hoop, a handbag, and a set of IKEA storage boxes.

Today I got calls from both my older brothers.
The first, who lives in Hollywood just off Sunset & Vine, called to tell me he watched a Bobcat get hit by a car right there on Vine. It was freaking everybody out so he ran home and got a garbage bag and hauled it away.

The other brother called from Aurora, IL. He was stuck in traffic because there was a gigantic crowd
gathered in front of the historic theater where they were hoping to catch a glimpse of Johnny Dep who is there filming a Dillinger movie.

Hollywood Past Present Future Fuck'n Aye.
