Today I was a victim of a random act of kindness. Okay. I looked up victim and it apparently is only used if it is related to something bad, but whatever. (My friend says I use that word a lot. Whatever.) However, some may see my victimization as creepy! Or not. I hiked the canyon this morning with four dogs and an iPod and when we returned to my car I found a giant container of flowers on my hood. It's an odd feeling. Automatic look-around. I read the attached tag and it appears that someone is anonymously dropping giant tubs of flowers at random places for random people. This random bloomerdocumented my drop today. Before I logged on and saw the blog I assumed it was a great marketing tool for a new flower business-brilliant. It is not. Then I thought maybe a performance piece. Who knows. Whatever. I'm thrilled to be a participant and I'm just glad there are (I assume) no pictures of the victims receiving their blooms. That would be creepy. But I think if someone can afford to do this, write about it, get something cathartic out of it - more power to ya. It's a beautiful thing. Beautiful bloom. PS - my car is black, but whose counting. Whatever.
