August 09, 2004 I stopped blogging for two months and consequently got things doneIt's amazing what you can get done when you don't spend all day reading blogs and blogging about the blogs you read. I won't bore you by detailing all the things I did. Because, of course, I created websites for each one of them, as I usually do. Hell, when I take out the garbage, I register a domain name to commemorate the act. But, briefly, The Beast is up and going with loads of support (will announce the other people involved in the near future), and the chase film is looking good (with David James stepping in to take on more of a leadership role), and Free Cinema is about to officially launch. Oh, and Bat Boy is opening on the West End, with some slightly new material. Some trivia: While I was out, the blog: --maintained a 2500-page-views daily average. Which proves that a significant number of people like it when I shut the eff up. --received 7 one-week paid Blogads. Which proves that some people just like to buy Blogads. I know I do. I think my two months in rehab gave me the perspective I needed to get a handle on my blogging addiction. So I plan to resume, without letting it take over my life. Please say this with me: God, grant me the serenity to blog the things I should, to refrain from blogging the things I shouldn't, and the wisdom to know the difference. Should this kind of thing become and habit and this blog becomes anything akin to "tame", I shall be forced to send beer or Crown Royal or or Wild Turkey or something to get you back to the Brian we know and love!
