First post was 6/6 at 6:06 PM - which actually is 18:06, not 6:06. Countdown started on 6/09/04. Counting down to 6/13/04. Maybe 6 AM CDT which would be 7 AM on the East Coast and 4 AM on the West Coast. But quite honestly - no on counts down from the Midwest.

It's almost 6:00 AM CDT as I write this and the countdown (as it's going right now) will end Sunday 6/12/04 at 6:08 AM CDT. Again, 7:08 and 4:08 respectively.

I'm back to confused.

Look more closely at the counter. The first number is DAYS, not hours.

It appears to be counting down to Aug. 9. God knows why. Or Satan does. One or the other.

Look even a little closer at the counter, Anonymous, and you will see that it is counting down to 2:36 am on August 10th, 2004. I Googled this date and found nothing of interest, but I didn't spend a lot of time. Anyone else find something for this date & time?

Actually, I looked at the raw HTML at the home page.

But I think I have more: I Googled around for this date some more: There is supposed to be something big happening, like a meteor impact, or several meteor impacts. There is the so-called "Snowball intercept"; a recording of some NASA transmission about an impact. Also there is some massive naval deployment, unprecedented in size and scope, named Summer Pulse 4 it involves 7 carrier strike groups and goes right up through the August 9 date. A very detailed discussion of Berosus and the Oannes story can be found in "The Sirius Mystery", by Robert
K.G. Temple (1976). This book describes the mythology of the Dogon tribe in Mali. Robert Temple associates
Oannes with the Philistine fish-god Dagon (see also the accounts in the Bible books of Judges and 1st
Samuel).

In "The Two Babylons", by Alexander Hislop (1943), the author makes an association between Oannes and
Dagon and goes even further: he makes an amazing connection between Oannes and John the Baptist, since
they have the same feast day June 24, i.e. Midsummer Day. This day is full of other-worldly lore (see also
Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream).

According to Hislop's account of Oannes (p. 113):
