Hi, Vanderbilt folks

If you are here because you attended the Nothing So Strange screening at Vanderbilt University and are interested in the links I mentioned, here they are:

"Anatomy of a Fake"
The mini-doc I mentioned about our shoot at the Democratic National Convention.

The Nothing So Strange Open Source Footage Store
You can remix the movie you saw. Right now there are just a few clips online (but, hey, Bill Gates getting his head blown off...). I'm working on getting a better way to deliver the footage.

Creative Commons
This essential organization provided the license we used to free the Nothing So Strange footage.

Fourth Wall Films
In the future, this is what all non-wussy film directors will be doing: Allowing others to take their best shot instead of cowering behind an exclusive "official" interpretation.

Want to learn more about the Free Culture movement? Hoo-boy, where to start? There's much good stuff on the Web. Creative Commons will link you to a lot of it. New stuff is popping up every day. I just noticed the The freeculture.org Blog (thanks for the ping, freeculture.org). Downhill Battle just launched Bannedmusic.org. There's a rumor out there that I'm about to get off my ass and launch the Free Cinema site finally, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

UPDATE: Oh, also thanks to Michelle Rosen and Amiee Graham of Vanderbilt's Project Dialogue, which put the event together.
