Code Pink and other groups to protest Arnold Schwarzeneg

Karen Pomer, who sends me regular updates on Schwarzenegger controversies via email, lets me know about an upcoming protest at Arnie for Gov headquarters in Santa Monica. I can't believe that any woman (or feminist male) who knows about Schwarzenegger's past treatment of women would vote for this misogynist as governor. Arnold is liberal-ish in many of his positions, but his attitude toward women is decidedly Stone Age, and it should disqualify him from the office.

It's not that he participated in group sex (I could give a rat's whisker), or that he took advantage of the opportunities for lots and lots of sex as a famous young bodybuilder (as a world-famous filmmaker, playwright and blogger, I do the same thing), or even that he likely has a habit of cheating on his wife (that's their business).

No, it's not about sex. Sex is great and everybody should do it all the time, especially with me.

It's about degradation. A.S. has a habit of taking advantage of his position and his size to humiliate women (as well as male underlings). And it's not just insensitivity. The man obviously enjoys humiliating women. The stories, even from Arnold's own mouth, are legion.

The details from Code Pink:
