Tell it to the Marines

Hey, did you know that you can go to OperationDearAbby.net and send a message to the troops in the Gulf? Apparently it'll go to personnel who are from your area, and you can choose which branch of the military to send to.

I had no idea. I just entered "how do I write to the troops?" in a search engine and it came up.

So I immediately started on my message to the troops:

"Dear Imperialist Crusader,

Thanks a lot for helping our illegitimate President perpetrate his immoral, illegal war on the innocent people of..."

Just kidding. Accidentally slipped into a Fox News caricature of a war protester there for a second.

Next war proponent I meet (cyber or otherwise) who tells me that I'm un-American, I'm just gona haul off and tell him the highlights of my day: Five hours exercising my right to assemble, five hours publicizing my compatriots' efforts to rescue democracy, an hour finding out how to write to the troops and actually writing to the troops, and just before bed, made a bookmark in my browser so that all my purchases at Amazon.com help out the devastated Iraqis. What the fuck did you do, Freeper, except sit on your ass and ridicule me?

Well, maybe I won't say it like that.

My (utterly devoid of politics) letters to the troops...
